The week before LIBER 2012

Only one week is left until the beginning of the LIBER 2012 pre-conference.
Probably, most LIBER 2012 team members are sitting in a room filled with boxes of materials that are coming in many times a day.
Close to 350 conference bag are waiting in the corner to be filled. Printing machines are working non-stop to print various materials. Each one of us receives hundreds of emails per day - so technically typical mood before a conference.
We have also a team of volunteers in orange shirts who will be helping you in every step of your way.

Hopefully, all of you are also doing your final preparations and are getting ready to arrive to Tartu at the beginning of next week.
This is what you will see when you start landing to Tallinn.

Enjoy this silence .......before the storm

Only one more day left until the end of registration to LIBER 2012. It feels like we can really hear the ticking sound... tick, tick, tick... how many participants will come to Tartu at the end of June.

And tomorrow another ticking starts - two weeks left until the opening of the Conference. You can follow the countdown in our facebook page.

It is very quiet here today, so it feels like silence, but we all know next two weeks will be storm - at least for organizers.

Besides ticking in the University of Tartu Library, we hear all kinds of noises connected to renovation.

Everything is covered with plastic and drilling sounds come behind these plastic "walls". We really cannot see them, but we sure can hear them :)
Maybe silence is overrated.

First post for LIBER 2012

Welcome to LIBER 2012!

Greetings from rainy Tartu. Although, the weather is really gloomy today, preparations for LIBER 2012 are going great!

Just the reminder to these who are thinking if to join us in LIBER 2012 not, you only have 3 days left to register! Main conference starts in 15 days!

Our LIBER 2012 meetings are now filled with drilling and other building sounds because University of Tartu Library is being renovated.
Here is a quick look for you how our library looks since you will not be able to visit us at the end of June!

We are setting up blog for LIBER 2012, so that all the great ideas/thoughts can reach you as well!
